General Practitioner DPA & MM1 Canberra

Job Description:

We are seeking a General Practitioner to join our team at our Belconnen clinic in Canberra. As a DPA (District of Workforce Shortage) and MM1 (Modified Monash Model 1) location, this is a great opportunity for an overseas trained GP looking to work in a high-demand area and make a positive impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages

- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions

- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families

- Perform minor surgical procedures and provide emergency care when necessary

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care

- Participate in educational and training activities to continuously improve clinical skills and knowledge

- Adhere to all relevant medical standards, regulations, and ethical principles

Requirements:

- MBBS or equivalent degree

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or ability to gain this on AHPRA's Expedited pathway (MRCGP/MICGP/FRNZCGP)

- Minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in general practice
